Where it all began
An independent café, rooted in Oxford.
Art Café opened its doors in Oxford in 2009 with a simple idea: great coffee, honest food and a place where people could come together. More than 15 years later, that idea is still at the heart of everything we do.
Our coffee
Sourced with care
Roasted here, traceable to the farm
We roast our coffee in the café itself, in small batches, from farms we can name in Brazil, Guatemala and Nicaragua. We work with importers who keep that link to the growers intact — so we know whose coffee is in the cup, and you get it days from the roaster, not months.

Fresh & local
A partnership rooted in Oxford's Covered Market
Working with David John in the Oxford Covered Market, we bring in the meat and cheese for our menu — alongside free-range, organic, gluten-free and vegan options, all prepared fresh on-site.
